Thinking Canada in the Airport launge in Vancouver, BC
The new Vancouver Airport is greeting its travelers with select native aboriginal art works in many locations in the airport; unique and beautiful to rest your eyes on when waiting for your flight.
An Olympic 2010 destination competing with a seaside resort most identify as the White Rock, BC. Most sun hours, free sunsets from the Boathouse...oyster bar and many more attractive alternative dishes to consume ; a delight to visit but only if you love the sea breeze, the marina, totempoles, a museum.
Staying on the Smiahmoo Peninsula and White Rock the choice must be one of the many fine B&B's of the area. My personal experience is based on the comfort, modern but still 'classy' and beautiful scenery of the seaside, a nine-iron away to the Pacific Ocean.
I am speaking of the Dancing Firs Executive quaint retreat & B&B, or the Ocean Rose Bed and breakfast...these two are my choices of the season and selected from the over 23 B&B facilities of high standards of hygiene and comfort and foremost hospitality and good breakfasts in the morning; that's what White Rock is known for; nature, culture and a plethora of restaurants and eateries , cafee's...a strip on the Marine Drive, west and east, I coined the name 'The Canadian Riviera' 1988, because it reminded me of Antibes, Cannes, Nice, Monaco [but without the famous casino we've seen in the movies].
