Napa Bunny Rejects Baby Carrots; Had broccoli as favourite.

Napa bunny rejected baby carrots and was a lover of broccoli.

Is our recognized food and grocery providers poisoning us with their foods for sale?

Are vegetables and all the 'organic' produce always safe to consume?
Many questions and rightfully so.

The consumers need to know and should be notified of any known conditions
that may jeopardize the health safety and long term possible negative
consequences from consumption of products sold to be  eaten, fresh,
frozen, pickled or marinated, for instance.

Now, this story came across my desk and I wanted you to know . And I want to know if anyone
reading the claims made can comment and may have a view of the
potential health hazards that we may all be exposed to. Here me out on
this one.

Small cocktail carrots rejected by bunny is my headline and title.

"The small cocktail [baby] carrots you buy in small plastic bags are made
using the larger crooked or deformed carrots which which are put
through a machine which cuts and shapes them into cocktail carrots;
most people probably knows this already.

What you may not know and should know is the following: Once the carrots are cut and shaped
into cocktail carrots they are dipped in a solution of water and
chlorine in order to preserve them, [This is the same type of chlorine
used in your swimming pool].

Since they [the carrots] do not have their skin or natural protective covering, 'they' give them a higher dose of chlorine.

YOU WILL NOTICE THAT ONCE YOU KEEP THESE CARROTS IN YOUR REFRIGERATOR FOR A FEW DAYS A WHITE COVERING WILL FORM ON THE CARROTS.
THIS IS THE CHLORINE WHICH RESURFACES!

At what cost do we put our health at risk to have aesthetically, for the eyes, pleasing vegetables.

Chlorine is a very well known carcinogen, which causes cancer and also harden the arteries in both humans and animals.

I thought this was worth passing on to as many people as possible with hopes they will
become informed. This so that as many as possible get to know where
these baby carrots come from and how they were processed.

I used to buy those baby carrots for vegetable dips and party trays. I know now that I will never buy them again!!!

I have a little anecdotal for for you on this.

When I lived in Napa there was a Bunny that clearly had once been some-one's pet, but had
know reverted to the wild. I came to visit me often and I started
putting out vegetables for him and I discovered that he liked carrots
and broccoli.

However I had to peel the carrots for him so I figured there must be some kind of pesticide on the skin.
One day I was out of regular carrots, and I had a little bag of the "cocktail" carrots.

So I put them out for him. My friend the bunny completely refused to touch
them, - smelled them and then hopped away. So since then I have never
trusted them [baby carrots] either. Now I know why!"
